Pannekoeke

Pannekoeke... loosely translated from Dutch to English is Pancake.

In the pantheon of the gods of the table, Pannekoeke is the love child of the goddess Omelette and the hero Pizza. Inherited personality from mom, shape from dad.

Ride 20 miles then try a Bacon, Mushroom, Leek and Cheese pannekoeke from De Pannekoekenbakker cafe. Let me know what you think.

Why oh why are these not available in U.S.?

  1. I have some for you :-)

Yes a pannekoek with Bacon is the best.
Other excellent options are Apple or just plane with some marmalade.

Speaking of marmalade the best stuff to put on there is “Rinse Appel Stroop” witch is close to Apple Butter but a bit more sower / sweet.

In Limburg its common to make a sandwich with cheese and “stroop”.
