Bright Angel Trail

Spent our full day at Grand Canyon mainly hiking Bright Angel trail (a couple miles into and out of the canyon) and hiking along the rim trail.

Hiking Bright Angel was fun and challenging.  Physically because it is pretty steep, mentally because it is pretty narrow... with very long drops.  There are cautionary signs:  "Remember, hiking into the canyon is voluntary.  Hiking out is mandatory."

Scale of the canyon is immense.  In the first photo, somewhere around the 8:00 position, you can see a few little dots.  The dots are people.


In photo below, around 7:00 position, you can see a couple teeny tiny snaky lines.  Those lines are the trail we hiked, about 1000 feet below the rim.
